West Coast Yachts' professional staff and brokers will handle all aspects of the marketing and sale of your boat. Finding a qualified buyer is only a small fraction of each transaction. Working through financial qualification, survey negotiation, and title transfer requires a broker who is experienced in the yacht sales business. Our brokers are professional and experienced offshore sailors, and racers, and are trained to handle each transaction with confidence and complete professionalism from start to finish.

Advertising

West Coast Yachts advertises locally and nationally. Advertising on a national level will be found in publications such as Cruising World, Blue Water Sailing, Sail and Latitudes & Attitudes. West Coast Yachts also advertises in local publications such as Northwest Yachting, 48 Degrees North, and Latitude 38.

Boat Shows

West Coast Yachts participates in local in-the-water boat shows. In late summer and winter, the Lake Union Boats Afloat Show attracts interested buyers from all over the U.S., Canada and even Europe! West Coast Yachts also participates in other regional shows, such as the Vancouver boat show.

Digital Photography & Presentations

Professional digital presentations and written marketing plans are part of new listings. Presentations are enhanced with creative applications and can be mailed directly to clients. This is a new and innovative way to market boats to out-of-area clients. It expands the market for our listings dramatically and helps your boat sell faster.

Location & Display

West Coast Yachts is located right in the heart of the Westlake Avenue broker district. This ensures maximum visibility to buyers. We advise on boat detailing, and the decorating of boats to ensure that potential buyers view your boat in its best condition. Ambiance is a very important part of having a potential buyer fall in love with your boat. Boat detail and wash services are available at a reduced rate for boats at our Lake Union location.

Market analysis and specification

The first step to successfully completing the sale of your boat is finishing a detailed specification of the boat and her equipment. We’ll take the time to go through every detail of your boat, taking this time up front pays off when we show your boat to potential buyers by being able to point out the little extra features all boats possess but aren’t always apparent. There may be a few items we’ll point out to you that could be a determent to buyers, we can recommend qualified resources to address almost any issue. West Coast Yachts then does a market analysis, we’ll compare your boat to similar boats currently available and that have recently sold, around the country. This will allow us to set a fair price that will attract buyers. Boats that are priced right sell quickly!
