Our Brokers
Marjorie was born in Nice and grew-up in a yachting environment. She speaks English and has a degree in Marketing and Management from Edhec-Espeme French Business School. Marjorie worked for the Moorings in 2003 in Customer Relations, and helped present and promote the Leopard 62 at the Cannes Boat Show. She has immersed herself in several aspects of yachting: Cruising onboard a 120 foot motor yacht in the Med as Chief Stewardess and deckhand, Sales Manager for IT systems for “Book-a-Yacht”, a fleet management company in Marseille and then Charter Marketing Agent for Peter Insull’s Yacht Marketing in Antibes. In the course of her studies, she spent two years in Thailand, including one year in Bangkok in an exchange program and one year as Project Manager for Asia Marine in Phuket. Jeff was born and raised in Miami and grew up sailing Biscayne Bay. An avid scuba diver and fisherman, he extensively explored the
Florida Keys and the Bahamas and later lived aboard and cruised the East and West coasts of the US and the Caribbean islands. Jeff’s
years of experience have left him with a solid technical understanding of all onboard systems. Use his experience and knowledge as

Mike comes from generations of avid boaters including both power and sailing yachts. Beginning on the east end of Long Island, NY mike was on the water 12 months a year as well as a live aboard for 2 years. Even below freezing temperatures gave him the opportunity to sail on ice at 40+knots. Now living in Ft. Lauderdale the year round sailing, racing, and cruising is much more comfortable for him. An avid sailor since childhood, Tom moved aboard while in college and lived on sailboats for the next 15 years. A licensed captain since 1992 Tom has logged over 20,000 sea miles in all types of yachts. Four years ago Tom made the switch from sailing boats for a living to selling them. Cyril Lelievre has been sailing since his youth and his experience spans from skipper to teacher to racer. With an early career in the biggest shipyards of France, Cyril has been in the yacht brokerage business for over 12 years. Born and raised in Sydney Australia, Leo joined our brokerage team in March 2008. He will be located
at the Sunsail base in Marina Kremik, Croatia. Following the completion of his Economics degree,Leo
gained extensive experience in Accounting,Marketing and Management covering a range of different
business environments.He has acquired his sailing experience from racing 12ft Skiffs on the world
famous Sydney Harbour, to being involved with the Safety Inspection Crew at the "Sydney To Hobart
Yacht Race". He decided to return to his ancestral home of Croatia,and will be happy to answer any

Growing up in the Great Lakes area, Bob was sailing before he was driving. Wanting to further his destinations, he moved to Florida where he became a full time liveaboard/cruiser. Starting his yacht brokerage career in the early 70s, he now has 30 years experience in helping his clients find the ideal yacht at the very best deal. Managing/owning a yacht brokerage located in a boatyard, gave Bob hands-on experience on yacht structure and systems which enables him to fully assist clients in simple repairs or total refits. Trip Trubee, originally from Bay Head, NJ, has been a resident of Annapolis, Maryland for the past 25 years, and now heads up operations in our Annapolis office. Trip brings more than 30 years experience in yacht sales, service and management, with close ties to the Annapolis and East coast yachting industry. Trip has spent his entire career in the marine industry – initially managing a family-owned marina and sales dealership in Point Pleasant, NJ, and Edgewater, MD, and subsequently as the founder of one of the first yacht sales brokerages in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Trip’s comprehensive marine and product knowledge, strong customer service orientation, and likeable demeanor are widely appreciated by novice and experienced yachting enthusiasts alike. In addition to traveling, Trip and his wife enjoy spending time cruising on the Chesapeake Bay with their two dogs, Moby and Dick.

Richard grew up in Dartmouth, the home of England's great naval training base. In 1998, while working as an advertising executive for local radio, Richard decided it was time to throw off the corporate shackles. He took his (Royal Yachting Association) Yacht Master's Certificate, and soon found a job with Sunsail in the Greek Ionian Islands. A few months after joining Sunsail, he was asked to set up a new, 12 yacht, base on the west coast of Greece. In 1999, Sunsail asked Richard to move to the British Virgin Islands and manage their flotilla base in Tortola. Now working at The Moorings Yacht brokerage, his knowledge of the BVI, charter boats, and cruising make Richard an ideal person to come and see for a friendly chat. Worked from Sunsail in Greece & Turkey since 1998 as watersports & cruising instructor & skipper, finally going shore-based in 2003 at Vounaki Marina in the Ionian. Moved to Turkey in November 2005 & officially joined yacht sales team then. Now based in Marmaris head office, but visit operations bases to inspect boats & meet clients whenever possible. John Welch has broad experience in sailing and the yacht brokerage industry. He was champion of the North American Junior Sear's Cup; designer for Hood Sails in Marblehead, MA; captain of a 65-foot Swan in the Caribbean, racer of a Maxi Ocean and director of offshore sailing programs. Peter Wiersema has been an avid boater since the age of five. He has sailed his own boat throughout the Caribbean and South American and combines extensive knowledge of live-aboard necessities with maintenance and repair issues for all onboard systems. Giles’s first memory of sailing was sitting on the bow of a dinghy when he was 4, while he sailed around the bay with his Dad. He has been sailing ever since. After studying engineering at university he worked as a sales manager selling classic and sports cars. He cast off his lines 5 years ago and returned to the water. Now a Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor, he has been around the world skippering, racing and teaching and brings his enthusiasm for sailing to the brokerage. Giles Wood Office: Tortola, B.V.I.
